I'm a student and am brand new to 3ds Max. How do I take my photoshop image to my 3ds Max image? Do I need a plug in? I'm really confused, so if anyone can help me through the correct steps I'd greatly appreciate it

Bring in as a background? Or as a material texture? 3ds Max supports many raster image formats for these operations.
