If there are no Inserts of the block within the drawing, you can remove the Block definition using the "purge" command.

Can anyone help with this aswell, i have loads of blocks with the prefix IGV_.  Example: IGV_walls, IGV_doors, IGV_windows, etc. How do i delete them? I can only see them in the insert block drop down list, they are not in the purge blocks list. Please help.

The PURGE dialog offers only blocks which are unused - not referenced anywhere in the drawing. You have to delete their references first (e.g. with QSELECT)
