    Posted: 20.Nov.2007 at 16:05

Hello all! My first post here, hope you can help. I am trying to convert my ACAD files to Gerber using ASM500. The only problem that I am having is getting the ASM5oo to "FLASH" the circles. I believe that I am not preparing my dxf file properly. I believe that my circles need to be "BLOCKS" for ASM500 to "FLASH" them. I am making the circles into blocks in ACAD using the 'wblock' command wich writes the circle to a file as a block. Then I 'insert' the circle block into my layout.

When I do the translation in ASM500, then I query the circle, it tells me that the circle is not a flash but a 'trace' 'circle', it should say that it is a flash. I did flash all circles when I set up my aperture list in asm500, so now I am at a loss. Hope someone can help.

Thanks
