Topic: How to insert blocks in a polyline following this Posted: 10.Dec.2009 at 03:48
Please if somebody can help me with this, I'm trying to draw a several blocks in a polyline but following this like a measure command, but I' don't need the blocks aligned with the polyline I need put these perpendicular to the polyline including curves.
I will appreciate all your help.

Redefine the block you are using to measure, such as with "bedit" command. give it a 90 degree rotation, so it will align at this rotation, thus perpendicular.
I tried using bedit before, but doesn't function exactly like I need, the problem is when the polyline change of direction or there is a curve , in these cases the polyline is aligned with the blocks.

I'm not sure the problem you're having, so I'll explain a little more how measure works...
In the "measure" command you have the option of aligning block with polyline, or not. If "no", the inserts will all have a rotation equal to the block definition, call it "y axis vertical". If you select the "align" option, the inserts will have a y axis aligned with polyline direction.
