hello all,

i followed all the instructions on how to install gdal in autocad by copying and pasting the proper fdo version of .dll files in my autocad map 2010 fdo bin folder and editing the providers xml.

everything looks fine when i open autocad. gdal will require me to type in the folder address of my tif file in my computer and i click connect.

but autocad can't read the coordinate system (it always comes up as unknown). even if i did change the coordinate system i still get an error that says "failed to get bands data"."there is no data in extent of current map"

please help am i missing a patch for gdal or something? i've searched around for help but there is not much information out there.

this does it on every tif i could find, but the default raster fdo in autocad can read my tifs.

any suggestions?

thanks very much
