The Autodesk fiscal year runs from February 1 through January 31. By shifting one month from the calendar year, we don't have to close out the year-end books while trying to observe the winter holidays. Since our current fiscal year will end on January 31, 2011, this calendar year is known to us as FY11. Looking at Autodesk Labs activity for new technology previews, updates, and graduations, last year (FY10) was bigger and bolder than its predecessors. We look forward to even more activity in FY11. Anticipating the future based on the past is alive in the lab.
