Although we don't have money to burn, we do have some set aside for the IDEA Studio... About a week ago I blogged about the Autodesk Gallery IDEA Studio grant program. Since then I have gotten some more information from Senior Marketing Manager for Customer Experience, Kimberly Whinna. As Paul Harvey used to say, here is the rest of the story. Recently launched in the fall of 2009, the Autodesk IDEA Studio is a residency program in San Francisco for architects, artists, designers, and engineers who are pursuing innovative projects that push design technology to its limits to solve real-life problems in business, society, or the environment. Residents come from both academia (graduate students and faculty) and industry and get access to the latest design software, as well as one-on-one coaching from experts who can help them apply the technology to accelerate their projects. We are currently accepting proposals for spring and summer 2010. Selected residents receive a grant to help jumpstart their projects. Temporary housing and roundtrip air transportation are also provided as needed. Proposals can be submitted via our proposal submission page. Thanks Kim.
