I was wondering if there was any way to meld sat or step together into one ipt?  Sometimes I get parts from vendors that are two piece and in an assembly format.  I would like that part to be one piece.  Is derived component the best way to do this?

I believe so, yes. If not, and there is a less intensive, shorcut kinda way to do this, I would also like know.
