Try anyone but, give yourself some time to get used to using the program.
I haven't used any of the free programs however a9tech has some excellent reviews.
Got to start somewhere.

Maybe you could try to use bit torrent and download autocad off somebody else. Just be sure not to try to register it, and disable any automatic updates and what not. If it works, get your ass back on here an follow up with a post!

Stop proposing illegal activities - you are breaking the rules of this forum (and proposing others to break the law).
Downloading and using software from dubious sources is the best way to get computer viruses and other malicious code to your computer.

Yesterday, I converted one *.pdf to a *.dxf.
The *.dxf was a blank however in the file where I was workin' I now had the *.pdf, *.dxf (both useless), and two images.
I inserted both images into a blank drawing, moved and connected the two, rotated the result 90°. Quick enough.
Scaled the two to size and sent them to the background.
Using red (for the time being), added some lines and dimensions.
The images I removed and I was on my way. Saved me lots of time and although I could have requested the *.dwg file via email, the *.dwg was ugly anyway.
Purge, audit, regenall, save. Then, closed, write protected, added comments.
