after a new installation, no workspaces are listed in the initial workspace dialog box.  Can anyone help?

Thanks.  My problem is not the dialog box, it comes up every time, but there aren't any workspaces in the list.  Should be autocad classic and 3d in the list, they just don;t show up.  Tried messing around in the workspace settings box but no dice.  The workspaces are listed there under the main ui file, but I can't figure out why I can't access them.  This only happened with this newest installation of 2007 on a different laptop.  I hope I'm explaining myself properly.  Thanks again.
