3 states of matter: solid, liquid, gas The April ADN plugin of the month is ready for download. This month's plugin was written by Glenn Ryan of TCG Software and edited by our own Kean Walmsley. Free Download of XrefStates for AutoCAD via Autodesk Labs As its name suggests, XrefStates can be used with AutoCAD to manage the state of various external references in a drawing. It allows you to store "Xref States" - similar in nature to Layer States - which contain information on the various Xrefs in the drawing: whether each is loaded or unloaded. The Xref States get stored within the drawing and so can be used in future editing sessions. Although previous plugins have been tested with AutoCAD 2007 and onward, the read me for this one lists AutoCAD 2008 and later. Sorry 2007 users - it's time to move up. The plugin should work with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of AutoCAD and vertical flavors of AutoCAD. The download includes the source code for the plugin. Hopefully you will inspired to drink it in and create your own plugins. For more information on developing with AutoCAD, please visit the AutoCAD Developer Center. If you have any feedback on this or other plugins, please contacts us at labs.plugins@autodesk.com. Keeping the monthly streak alive is alive in the lab.
