I need to mark where a tree is on a drawing, and I've noticed there are millions of different tree symbols out there. This might be a stupid question, but how do I know which one to use? Do most of the symbols work for most trees or are they specific to the tree? The one I need to mark is a queen palm, I believe. Thanks.

We at Dimension India(www.dimensionicad.com) use the folllowing autodesk tree symbols for autocad files:

PlanSwift 8.2 for business/project management;DWG True View 2009 17.2,DWG True View 2008 17.1 and DWG True View 2007 17.0,Autocad 17.2 for Graphics n CAD apps.

I hope this will be useful to u as well.

Just pick a symbol that you like. Tree symbols are typically pretty generic and you can use any that you like, but for something as easily identifiable as a palm, I would try to find one that somewhat resembles it.
