I want an inventor assembly turned into an FBX. My solution is to import it into 3DS Max, then export the FBX. However, this doesn't work properly. Some colours come in totally wrong, and in some places where there should be multiple colours, only one is used. I have ticked the "Assign Material IDs" box in 3DS. I'm using 3DS Max 2009 and Inventor 2009.

Does anybody know of a fix for this, or a different method?

Thanks.

3ds Max can read Inventor files directly (if it is installed on the same PC or if it is Max version 2011).

Yes, this is what I have been doing but some of the colour (material) information comes in wrong.
