Although we have had the email alias thelabs@autodesk.com since Autodesk Labs started, not everyone thinks to use it when they wish to suggest a technology for Autodesk Labs to investigate. In addition, when email is used, only the sender and Autodesk employees get to see the original message and the responses that follow. So the folks at AUGI were kind enough to set up two new discussion forums: Autodesk Labs General- As the name implies, general questions for Autodesk Labs. Autodesk Labs Wish List- Suggestions for technologies for Autodesk Labs to investigate. This forum is not intended as a substitute for the design application wish lists. When you make a suggestion in this forum, you should think big. Think about where your industry is headed and what technologies you think should be incorporated into the design process. Things like multi-touch, cloud computing, mobile devices, and social networks come to mind. I encourage you to use these new forums as you see fit. I have subscribed to these forums and will be looking at them daily. AUGI membership is free. Members can see the original feedback plus responses from Autodesk employees as well as other AUGI members who chime in. Another feedback avenue is alive in the lab.
