This maybe v ery well be a dumb question but I have been trying to teach myself Inventor and the main thing I cant seem to figure out is, when I want to loft one shape to another how do I go about offsetting the drawing plane in order to draw the second shape before lofting? A couple of times all I did was picked the surface plane then hit the Create 2D sketch and it asked for an offset distance And it worked but the majority of the time I cant get it to ask for the offset didstance. This is the latest version of Inventor. Thanks for any help
