I use Inventor 2008 at work but they only use Inventor 11 at school. There has got to be a way to open 2008 files in 11. It works the other way around. I have done a lot of 2008 work at my place of work and need to open it up at school on 11. Please help me somebody.

 Thanks, Chris

Most 3D MCAD applications are not downward compatible - so you can load older formats into newer versions but not new formats (with new, unknown modelling features) to the older versions of the software.

This applies also for Inventor. You can use one of the data exchange formats - e.g. STEP - to transfer data from AI 2008 to AI 11.
