Don't know for sure if this an OS question or a CAD question but...I just switched to a different computer and when I select an object boundary (say to trim) on my new system I have to hold down the shift key to select multiple boundary objects. On my old system I could just click and select multiple objects without holding down shift. Does anyone know if this a CAD setting or a OS setting for the mouse? |

Set your PICKADD variable to 2.

"Options->Selection: Selection Mode" then uncheck "Hold shift to add selection"

That does the same thing as changing the setting of PICKADD. It's just a different way of doing it.

Yes, you're right. I only thought that my answer was easier to understand for someone who doesn't know much about AutoCAD. |

thank you Cad64, that did work although the only options are 0 or 1. Mine was set to 0, setting value to 1 allows picking of multiple objects. thanks again
