So you created the building using lines? Why didn't you use Autocad's solid modeling tools?

I created the buildings in an old version of Socet Set. Now i want to deal with the dxf file in AutoCAD 2009.

Well, my suggestion is to start over and create the building from scratch in Autocad using proper 3D modeling tools. I think it would be faster and easier than trying to fool around with this dxf file.

Forgive me for my complete lack of knowlegde, but in autoCAD is there anyway to draw the models using things like stereo images? As i work with stereo images and Digital Terrain Models & Digital Surface Models(LiDAR)??

Sorry, I don't have any experience with stereo images or LiDAR terrain models, but if I had to guess, I would say no. Autocad is a general purpose drafting program. It does a little bit of everything, but it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the more specialized programs have.

If you have a 3D wireframe model only, your options are either "cover" the edges with faces or solids (e.g. using osnaps) or start from scratch. The 3D modeling functions are quite powerful in the latest versions of AutoCAD.
