Hi,
I am getting the following error message when I try to open a file emailed to me.
INTERNAL ERROR: !dbvport.cpp@2645:eFilerError
Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix the problem?
Thanks.

Try running the RECOVER command.

Thanks for reply.
When I use the recover command an 'edit' text box comes up.
In the box it says
'Reading handle? Object type? Error 53 (EfilerError) Object discarded'.
It asks me to 'press enter to continue' but pressing enter does not work.

Rather than wasting a lot of time with this corrupt file, just contact the person who sent it to you and have them Purge and Audit the file on their end and then send you a new, clean file.
