Hi Friends,

I m receiving this strange startup message(see pic @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/kamti/4949300792/)in autocad 2009 with unreadable text. When it is closed or okeyed Cad starts normally but some tools behave strangely. eg. move makes copy of the object each time you move object. text command open completely new window of Notepad for text editing and same is true with ed command. Its difficult to edit text and the same stupid text also appears at leftmost bottom of screen near cursor coordinate indicators. Pleaase Help if any suggestion to fix this . I have searched net for this particular virus like LSP but found nothing.

Please Help

It may be a ACAD.VLX virus or some of your add-on application uses a different codepage.

Initially i also thought it to be acad.vlx & i took all the measures given at autodesk support for its removal but, no good. I am not using any add-on application.

I changed the antivirus and the new one detected some acad.qfas.a virus; I deleted all of them now checking if it works.

Thanks and congratulations ukamti.
I'm not used to see people who start a thread to give feedback when the problem is solved.
