does anyone know how to export from 3d workspace to 2d that is still in isometric or perspective form?

you can try printing to pdf then convert to dwg then import it into your CAD system. i use Print2cad software program to convert pdf to dwg :) good luck!!!

What version of Autocad are you using?
See if you have the FLATSHOT command available in your version.
