    Posted: 23.Sep.2010 at 16:37
When opening a drawing from one of our clients who is using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 (I am using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010) I get the following message:
“This drawing was created with a newer version of Civil 3D. All

Entities created by Civil 3D within the drawing are in a proxy

State. Additionally, all commands, settings, and displays of Civil

3D are disabled for this drawing.â€

I have contacted the client and they are saving the drawing by default to an AutoCAD 2010 format. When I continue to open the drawing I get squares/rectantangles in place of points with the following written in the bottom of each box "AeccDbCogoPoint (AeccLand80) and none of the contours come in although the contour lables come in.

I have checked the "demandload" command and it is set to <3>.

Has anyone else had this problem and or could someone give me some options to try to resolve the issue?

Thanks in advance

Civil 3D has no special function for saving to older versions of Civil objects. You can use LandXML - see:
