Can anyone tell me why AutoCad Lt 98 won't load on Win 7? Also, I have AutoCad 2000, which it loaded fine, but it freezes when I try and bring it up. I do have a computer with Win XP still on it, I may have to use that computer but I wanted to use 98 or 2000 on my new computer with Win 7. Please help.Sleepy

The reason is quite simple - AutoCAD LT 98 was developed in the year 1998 for other (older) operating systems than year 2009's Win7. Neither LT98 nor AutoCAD 2000 are compatible with Win7.

Either upgrade your AutoCAD, or downgrade your operating system, or use a virtualized WinXP environment in Win7.

Forget Virtual Machine in XP Mode. As I have said before in this forum I had a new Dell with Windows 7 64bit, raid array storage, Quadro video card and 8 gig RAM and it could not run ACAD 2009 in XP Mode...way too laggy. I'm back on a WinXP machine running ACAD 2006 Ouch...

I don't know what y'all are talking about. I have AutoCAD 2000 running just fine on my 32-bit Win 7 machine. Of course, it's 2011 that's certified to be compatible...
