Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) is an internationally recognized green building certification system that provides third-party verification that a building or community was designed/built using strategies to improve performance in areas such as energy consumption, water usage, CO2 emissions, indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources. The system awards levels based on achievement: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Our Gallery is located on the second floor of our office at One Market Street in San Francisco. The second floor is one of only two commercial interior renovations in all of Northern California to achieve LEED Platinum status. Knowing this I was thrilled to get an email from fellow employee, Product Designer Jim Smell. Jim's email alerted me to LEED work being done in my old neck of the woods.
As someone who grew up in New Orleans and as an Autodesk employee, I am proud of what is being done in my old state. Appreciating the platinum is alive in the lab. Go to the original post... |
