The final flight of the Space Shuttle Discovery STS-133 has been delayed 24 hours to investigate a test result anomaly. It is completely understandable that NASA delay when any unknown results are found when preparing for launch of a space vehicle.

“The Mission Management Team decided we will take another day to understand the issues that occurred with power to the main engine controller, so we will launch no earlier than Thursday. Launch would be at 3:29 p.m. EDT.”

I was initially sad but I understand and must return home as I cannot wait for future launch times for STS-133. I am completely happy and satisfied with the experience even if I did not get to see the actual launch after hanging out with NASA and space geeks for several days. The Space Shuttle launch is not an entertainment show for people, it is much more and has higher responsibilities of the safety of the astronauts, residents, mission, and the vehicle.
 

I want to sincerely thank everyone who participated in this very special NASATweetup and especially NASA and their seriously cool employees. It was amazing how open and welcoming NASA was to us Tweeps and giving of their time at a very tight time before a historic launch. Stephanie Schierholz and team went above and beyond the call of duty into making those of us in social media and space geeks feel welcome and very special.

I will forever hold these special memories with me and hope again in the future that I get a golden ticket to visit Willy Wonkas Space Science Factory.
