Topic: Spline boundary for hatch Posted: 22.Feb.2008 at 02:18 |
Hey everyone
First off, sorry if the answer to my question is completely obvious: I'm fairly new to AutoCAD. Using 2008, I'm trying to draw hatches with splines as boundaries. It works fine until I try to add hatches after closing and reopening autocad (the next day, for example). It then seems to just ignore splines at random and hatch right through them to the next line or polyline. Sometimes the section that is ignored includes two splines connected at the ends, and sometimes it's one solid spline. I haven't been able to figure out any pattern or consistency to which splines it ignores. It's not really feasible for me to use polylines instead. So far the only solution I've been able to come up with is to redraw the spline, but that slows down my work considerably and I'm hoping for a quicker and easier answer. What am I doing wrong? |

WELCOME TO CADFORUM.
I think you should convert spline to pline by method below and try again.

Thanks for your reply.
I've actually looked into this already and it's not going to work for me. Polylines aren't practical in this drawing for editing and cosmetic reasons. I need to be able to update it periodically as new data is recorded. Any other ideas? |
