The MBUTTONPAN and Highlight system variables are set to 0... I always have to set them back to 1, so that things get back to normal.. this is not an easy situation. It is spreading wildly... The spreading mechanism looks like a possible virus. See also the Related tip 7143.

Thx Vladimir Michl.
I was able to get rid of the virus today by completely uninstalling the Autocad program and deleting every file and folder that relates to it. The files that I deleted included those that are set to appear as hidden in the AppData folder under Autodesk. The program was reinstalled and functioned correctly @ startup. Uninstalling and reinstalling the program withought deleting all of the related folders under Autodesk in the 'program files' folder and AppData folders does not solve the problem. By and large, I didn't kill the virus which lurks in some files that I permanently deleted from my computer. However, I saved my laptop from a format. It's still out there somewhere in some corrupt file on the net, or in some freind's ex-hard drive. The virus's mechanizm is still ambiguous and acts just as I explained in the previous post. |
