I installed Autocad 2008 on 64 bit windows 7 xpmode. The cursor stays on top of the crosshairs and follows the crosshairs where ever the crosshairs are. how doI fix this problem?

Never heard of that...maybe you had an install issue? windows 7 'xpmode' sounds iffy for autocad. it likes standard OS's...I would re-install Acad and see what happens. If STILL no luck, then goggle AutoCad2011 and windows 7 'xpmode'...
good luck!

I googled the problem, seems that there are tons of the same problem. The sure fix is to install Autocad 2010... Of course it would, got to make a buck don't you know. I am installing 2010 next month so I will just deal with this problem for now.
Thanks for your information. I will be back for sure. I did download a programm from this site and love it...

Sorry to say it, but they're right, Anita. Unfortunately AutoCAD 2008 (IIRC) was the 1st version of AutoCAD to enter into the 64-bit world and it was plagued with issues...some of which are (obviously) still unresolved.

Good Luck!!
