i use autocad lt 2010 and am trying to lift some info off a drawing and export it to excel. the info lookd like a table but hasn't been created as a table. you seem to be able to do it quite easily using autocad (ie NOT LT) using the data command in the tools menu or eattext command, but i cant find a way to do it in LT, can anyone help

You say the information looks like a table.  Could it just be plain text?

Could this information be copied then pasted into Excel?

For future consideration if you have the need to work with the same information in both AutoCAD LT and Excel.

You're correct, DATAEXTRACTION and EATTEXT are not available in LT.

Check out ExcelLink. It exports attributes to Excel and - unlike EATTEXT - it can also link them bidirectionally (Excel<-->ACADLT).
