Make sure the whole bounding box of your model is "positive-only".

In plan view, draw a rectangle around your model so that the entire model fits inside the box. Now move the box to X0,Y0 so that the lower left corner is sitting right on X0,Y0. Now move your model so that it fits inside the box. Now delete the box.
Now change your view to "Front" and do the same thing to get your model into the positive Z quadrant. |

You can also use the BBox utility from the Download page. It will draw a "minimal" box around our 3D object.
