Topic: Setup for plotting more dwgs at the same time Posted: 28.Mar.2011 at 06:51 |
Hello guys,
Have someone succeeded in plotting more than 1 dwgs with the same page setup in AutoCAD LT 2010? Meaning that plotting dwg_01,_02,...then maybe dwg_05 automatically with only 1 page setup.
Thanks for your help.

Have you looked into using the PUBLISH command?

Dude, you resolve your issue by using the page set up manage it's as easy as 1,2,3 and your done. Ok fire up your sheet set manage. NOTE: YOU FIND THIS UNDER VIEW at the top of your CAD SCREEN WHERE YOUR DROP DOWN MENUES ARE. Just follow the prompts and you can't go wrong. Just pick the little down arrow and choose new sheet set which will give you an option to create a DST template file, just follow the prompts after your are done go back to the sheet set manager go back to the and pick the little down arrow choose open then go find the DST template file you just created after you find it pick it and choose open now you will see it in your sheet set manager's list now, right click on it and choose import layouts as sheets now right click on the DST file again, go down to Manager Page Setup, from there setup your print/plot settings. (USE THE autocad DWG to PDF DEFAULT MANAGER PLOT MANAGER FOR PDFS) then go back to high lighting the DST template or highlight all the drawing layouts you had imported NOTE: WEATHER YOU RIGHT ON THE DST TEMPLATE OR HIGHLIGHT ALL THE DRAWING LAYOUTS AND RIGHT CLICK ON THEM YOU WILL GET THE SAME OPTIONS EITHER WAY your choise, now do publish then publish using page setup over ride then you will see the print/prot style you named just click on it and let it RIP baby. Oh!! be sure you know where its ripping to so, ensure that you specify where you want the PDFs to go, set the location by using the sheetset publishing option YOU WILL FIND THIS OPTION WHEN YOU RIGHT CLICK ON THE DST or HIGHLIGHT THE LAYOUTS you will find the sheet set publishing just below the Manager Page Setup. Let me know if you are good on that dude. Oh!! you can also specify a plotter/printer option too so that you can plot or print all you hard copies at once using the same process you will for the pdfs except you will choose the plotter of printer to setup

Hey man,
Seems that I'm not good enough to understand you completely, if possible, could be better if some pics can be sent.

Hi Cadman11,
Today went through your answers again, sorry to say that I still could not understand your solutions.
I can't not even find "DST" or "sheet set" in AutoCAD. BTW, I'm working with AutoCAD LT 2010.
My aim is still to creat a new page setup and save as default, which can be used for plotting all the dwgs.
Thanks for the help.
