You lost your command line?  The area just above the task bar that would normally have the word Command: on it?
Move your mouse to the divide between where it says Model, Layout1 and Layout2 and the Task bar.  The pointer should change to a set of parallel lines with an arrow pointing up and another pointing down.  Click and drag your mouse upwards to expand the space where your command line should be.  I usually have three lines showing for my command line area.  Choose what works best for you and the monitor you are using.

Try this.

Press your F2 button to bring up AutoCAD's Text window.  Now type the following: commandline then press the Enter key.  Do you get your command line back?  Yes/No/I don't know.
