Topic: Making AutoCad Block work as Excel SpreadsheetPosted: 15.Apr.2011 at 13:49 |

I am developing an application look somehow like this: The idea is making dynamic block act as a design spreadsheet (like Microsolf Excel): 1. You create the block with attributes as variables 2. You add your custom formulas to the block with a text editor. Then, everytime you edit an attribute, other attributes and the block's dynamic properties would change accordingly as the formulas executed. Here is the 7cad Block Demo Version 2.0 Setup I cannot find any supports here in Vietnam for my application. So if there is anyone interest in my application, please let me know and give me some advise. Then we can share the application once it is done ! Thanks in advance ! May 9th: Update information and setup could be found at http://7cad.wordpress.com/7cad-block/

Hello, please look at the parametric functionality introduced in AutoCAD 2011 - most of the functions can be probably done by this.

A copy of what? AutoCAD 2011? That would be a "no-no" as far as AutoDesk is concerned.
If you are a student you can obtain a free copy of many of the programs AutoDesk has to offer. Start with this link: http://students.autodesk.com/ Edited by John Connor - 15.Apr.2011 at 14:30 |

I would finish the demo version setup in the end of this month. Then I would upload it for everyone.
Have you see my video ? I think it is different from the "parametric constraints". But once the "parametric constraint" and my application work together, I think we would be able to create more "Dynamic" block

I'm sorry to say that "No, I have not seen your video." If what you say is true I'm sure there will be many AutoCAD users interested in what you have developed. Good luck.
