Load the software as you normally do.  When it comes time to activate let the computer connect to the Internet, access the AutoDesk website and download the new activation code.  It should work with no problem.  If it doesn't you'll get a message asking you to provide some basic information.  A reply is normally generated within 24-48 hours.  A new code will be emailed to you if AutoDesk determines you have a legit copy of AutoCAD.  I just went through this procedure recently and received a new activation code for AutoCAD 2010 which I manage to have to reload twice in one week due to hard drive problems.  In the meantime you can still use your program up to a max of 30 full days while waiting for your new code.
