View_conference

According to many, the VIEW Conference is the most important event in Italy on Computer Graphics, Interactive Techniques, Digital Cinema, 3D Animation, Gaming, and VFX. This year the conference is being held on October 25 - 28 in Turin. The VIEW Conference is preceded by VIEWFest, which many consider the most important Digital Movie Festival in Turin. The dates October 21 to 23.

I mention this because a featured speaker of VIEW Conference 2011 will be our own, Tom Wujec, a visual thinking guru and award-winning innovator. As you know from my previous blog posts, Tom is a Fellow at Autodesk, and he works with Fortune 500 companies to foster innovation practices at all stages, from strategic and business planning to the design and implementation of advanced digital design tools. Tom is a pioneer in business visualization, the emerging practice of using images, sketches, and data-driven infographics to help teams solve complex problems. My previous blog posts covering Tom's activities include:

So if you are able to attend, you might want to check it out.
