Guys, i need a help regarding Arabic fonts in CAD.. My situation is i received a CAD dwg (2010 version) a signboard.. usually in arab countries signboards have two sides (1) ENGLISH words (LEFT SIDE) and the other one on the RIGHT SIDE is ARABIC, they send also a word document wherein the ARABIC corresponding words are written, now i tried the classical procedure which is copy paste from WORD.doc to CAD.dwg but the output where all characters like (@#$??>..), the only thing i need at the moment is to have the same character in the WORD file when i copy it to CAD..

You can import the Word text as an OLE object or use the IMAGEATTACH command in AutoCAD to get the lettering into your drawing?

Hello, Aliadin we are using arabic fonts named :
AKHBR.TTF and AKHBRBD.TTF on our DWG drawings ( only for making tittle blocks ) and it works.
Previously we use to "draw" our text with lines but it's difficult.
I can upload examples on request butt you will have to get those fonts and paste them at least in (C)\WINDOWS\Fonts ( I have them also in :
(C)\Program files\Autocad 2008\Fonts ).
