hello!

I have a drawing with a number of layers and need the same layers in a new drawing. Does anyody know how I could export the layers so I have the same layers in both drawings?

The simplest way would just be to save the old drawing as a new file, clear out model space, and start from there. If it's a set of layers that you're going to be using a lot, I suggest you make a .dxt template file.

You can try copying them with DesignCenter, or the Layer States functionality.

draw a line in every layer. Copyclip select all, open other dwg, pasteclip. Delete all lines, done.

:)
 
You can also copyclip the other DWG, and past it in the DWG with the needed layers.
