AU Creative StudioI have to say personally the Creative Studio was one of the most memorable venues at Autodesk University this year. Although time is a very precious commodity at Autodesk University, many attendees stopped in the Creative Studio including R2D2. Those that ventured into the Creative Studio were able to see featured artists, exhibits, try cool products, “pimp out” their AU badges out with LED lights, build a marshmallow gun courtesy of my Instructables friends, and even create unique things in the 123D Fab! Challenge. I know I certainly got myself in some sticky trouble with my marshmallow gun…multiple times (see more below).

I am writing a longer post covering the 123D Fab! Challenge entries and other Creative Studio impressions and images and hope to post that tomorrow. In the meantime there is web page available with some information and photos from the innovative and fun Creative Studio.

Now back to the Marshmallow Guns!

Me in the TechShop Tank Chair with my Marshmallow Gun.

Video showing me in the Tank Chair at the TechShop booth at AU exhibiting my mad Tank Chair maneuvering skillz. I ambushed a poor innocent TechShop employee with my marshmallow gun. http://youtu.be/NTaZybSq_zE
I never did get introduced formally to the poor victim of my marshmallow snipe attack, so I never got her name or the opportunity to apologize.  If by chance you are the poor TechShop booth girl reading this post, I am sorry for taking the cheap shot to the head and will yell next time to give you a fighting chance to defend yourself.

I think the Marshmallow Gun design, analysis, assembly, hand knitted strap including harvesting wool from a live sheep, and the resulting abuse doled out with the sugar shooting weapon is worthy of a post all its own.

Cheers,
Shaan
