Is there anyone that has had problems with a hitchy and or jumpy cursor in
autoCAD 2012? I also have autoCAD 2008  and I never noticed this problem
with that version or any other older versions of autoCAD.

Have you tried a different mouse?

Have you turned off hardware acceleration?

Maybe it is a mouse drive problem.

I am on my 3rd mouse (all 3 were different mfg's w/ the lattest being made by Microsoft). When I turn off hardware acceleration the cursor will jump all the time instead of occasionally. All my hardware is new and my operating system software is windows 7.
Thanks John, for the reply.

Is this "jumping" erratic or does it appear to be incremental (i.e. - appears to jump the same amount)?

Eratic mouse/cursor movements in my AutoCAD sessions have always been memory related somehow.  Either other programs were eating up too much CPU time, I didn't have enough RAM for the task at hand, or I hadn't let the system fully settle down enough before charging forward.

I wonder in this case what the OP's system specs are, how large a drawing or what type of drawing is causing the problem, and if this is happening all the time or just on a few particular drawings.  Feels kind of like there's still a few missing bits of info here.
