Had you been doing some customization of your Ribbon when you lost it?

What happens if you type RIBBON at the command line?

There is no command line in Revit as in Autocad, so nothing happens if I type "ribbon". I'm able to get the small version of the icons, and even though I cycle through all I get is emptiness of small icons, all of three options want to minimize, there is no "maximize". I'll appreciate any comments about this issue. Thanks.

No, I have not been trying to customize, the lost of my default ribbon just happened.

All of a sudden I got my default ribbon back, but I don't know how that happened again. Yesterday, I spend some time closing and rebooting to see if I could get it back, but nothing. Today, I cycled the "minimize to panel" and I saw it back. I don't want to waste your time, but if you know how not to loose it again, I'll be thankful for your time.

I know this is old, sorry, but this may be helpful if you run into the problem again, or if someone else is searching...

If you have Ribbon issues in Revit, rename or delete the following file:

C:\Users\<<USERNAME>>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit Architecture 2013\UIState.dat

Revit will automatically create a new file and reset your ribbon.
