Hi,
First of all i would like to notice that I haven't read all the topics so sorry if somebody has already asked the same question. I use Autocad 2012. In the default settings when i moved the cursor over two or more overlapping objects, a table appeared with a list of all these objects. In the table i could choose the object that should be ticked. But I clicked on something by fortune and I lost this useful setting. Now when I click on the overlapping objects only the newest is ticked and it is not possible to choose the others. I look forward for your suggestions:)

What table are you referring to? Properties? Quick Properties? Other?
Are both PIKFIRST and PICKADD set to "1"? |

It was a small table with the list of all objects which are located in the area where the cursor is moved over. For example if the view was zoomed out, it would be a table with list of all objects located in the drawing. As I know, it didn't exist in previous versions of Autocad.
Pickadd and pickfirst are set to "1".

I've yet to see this table you speak of in the version of 2012 I'm running. Is there a name for this feature as I'd like to learn more about it myself. Perhaps you can find and post an image of the table?

Try Ctrl-W (Selection cycling). There's also a button for it on the bottom of your screen below the command prompt. It's the last one on the right. You probably turned it off.

Glad that was it. There is a caveat about it however. In large drawings with lots of overlapping objects leaving selection cycling turned on can have an adverse effect on performance. I've learned that the hard way. As a result I leave it turned off most of the time.
