is it possible to clear the page setup drop down menue in the plot dialog window? i repeatedly use the same setup that i've created and i don't like to have to go way to the bottom of the drop-down menue to select it. Also, if i clear it....how can i prevent other setups from being saved there?
thanks |

Are you saying that if you select a named Page setup on a Layout tab and Apply (it) to Layout, and then save the file the named Setup is not being retained? Because it should. It is unique to each Layout however. So you'd have to set and save all of them.
I would suggest modifying your main template file to include all the Plot settings you normally want. That would ease a measure of your frustrations.
Not sure I completely understand the last question...
Dave.

in the plot dialog box....at the top...the PAGE SETUP area. the NAME drop down menue lists the different page setups tha i've used. i'd like to clear that drop down and just leave one that i've created (using the ADD button beside the drop down) so that i dont have to scroll thru previous setups to get to mine.

Piece of cake. Go into the Page Setup manager, right click and delete the setups you don't want. Save the file. Eat cake.

My dialog is attached as an example. Is this where you are? We may need your screenshot to help figure out what is going on there.

Did you have all the tabs selected when you called up this dialog ?
Try Modifying one of those other setups so the settings are what you ultimately want. Change it to your needs, then set it current. Then go back into the Page Setup Manager and see if the others can be deleted.
