We have upgraded one of our drawing office PCs to Autocad LT2012 and set the option to save drawings back to earlier version for compatibility with our other users.
All other users are running Autocad 2007 but when we try to save a drawing created in LT2012, PCs freeze and stop responding.
We can open and edit the LT2012 files but the problem occurs when we try to save (or Save As)
There's no error message before the PC freezes.
The LT2012 PC works perfectly well but we can't share the drawings between other users.
Any suggestions??

Did you load Update 1 for 2012 as well?

Yes, John. Updated and installed any hot-fixes from Autodesk we could find.
So frustrating, I wish we still had drawing boards and pencils!!

Have you tried using DWG TrueView 2012 to save them down?

I'll give this a go but I was hoping the problem could be solved without stand-alone software.

No problems during the install?

What are the specs on the computer?  Do they meet the minimum requirements as called for by AutoDesk?

Did you try the REPAIR option?

This is a networked computer?

We bought LT2012 and a new PC to carry out work for a new client. The client sent us his template drawing but we have since found out that the template has been converted from Microstation format. The template seems to be causing the problem and not software as we suspected. We replicated template in Autocad and the problem has disappeared.
Many thanks for everyones help
