I am having some issues opening a dxf file in my AutoCAD LT 2012.

The I try to open it and ot appears to be loading the it has an error message reading

‘Invalid DXF data

Invalid or incomplete DXF input - - drawing discarded’

I try to open the same file on my friends AutoCAD 3D Civil and it opens so it cant be the actual dxf it must be something to do with my version. After the error message comes up it freezes for a while and the only way to close it is through task manager. The file is 68MB..? Help

Make sure first that you have installed all the Service Packs for your version of LT.  Then go here and get the AutoCAD C3D Object Enabler installer:

Be sure to take the correct one, 32-bit or 64-bit, install it, and try inserting that DXF again.
