I'm having a problem with duplicate dimensions in drawings. There are either 2 sets of dimensions overlaying each other (and locked together like a block) or offset in tamdem and still locked together.

I can not delete one set without deleting both. They can be exploded, but what good is an exploded dimension.

I swith between Acad 2009 and R14 and am wondering if anyone has a fix or knows the cause?

Thanks.

 Check the Override Style Dimension.
Maybe you can delete it.
