Here's an example of my work life. On Thursday, May 17, Senior Product Manager for Civil Products, Dave Simeone, sent me this message:

    From: Dave Simeone
    Sent: Thursday, May 17, 2012 7:15 AM
    To: Scott Sheppard
Subject: FW: LIVE - Productivity Tools for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012
Hi Scott – Can you post something on your blog about the availability of the former Point Cloud Extraction extension for Civil 3D 2012 being graduated to sub center? This went up last Friday – I meant to send you a message. I can provide you with some verbiage if you’d like.
    Thanks
    DAS

Five minutes later I posted this to my blog:

This elicited the following email response from Dave:

    You are a machine!

    Thanks

As an Autodesk Labs guy, I am fortunate to have contact with all divisions of the company. It's pretty easy to come up with material for It's Alive in the Lab. The blog articles practically write themselves. All I have to do is show up for work and material presents itself. Thanks to all of my teammates who supply me with material.

Prolificiency is alive in the lab.
