disclaimer: i have a very limited knowledge of autocad or civil3d. I received a .dwg file that was created in civil3d and an accompanying pdf. the drawing is plan and profile section of utilities below a city block.

when i open the .dwg in Autocad2010, the entire drawing is screwy, labels and lines missing etc...what am i doing wrong here? is there some sort of conversion step i must take to get the dwg in autocad to "look the same" as the pdf?

thanks for bearing with my lack of user skills...have to start somewhere.

Maybe it is the fact that you are trying to go from an AutoDesk vertical product (Civil3D) to plain AutoCAD and certain features don't translate well. Do you receive any messages about object enablers?

It sounds like you may not have the Civil Object Enabler installed for your version of AutoCAD.

Try that and see what happens.

Hello, it may not be applicable to your AutoCAD 2010 but just after openning your file, press the F2 button ( to see all the lines of your command line ) on your keyboard and read the ( error ) messages.
Please tell us if and how you succeded to cope with your problems.
