if u understand about math coordinating (x,y,z) then  u should able to understood the cad coordinating.

x and y to let u view 2d

if u want to draw 3d or different elevation on 2d view then u need to use Z coordinate as well.

Sorry i meant, say when you go for a job as a cad draftsman and they say they want a coordinator, what does this mean

draughtman is only produce the drawing, cad coordinator responsible to find the design n data of the cad drawing example give the information to draughtman produce a correct drawing. they also able to check the drawing  as well

A cooridnator has many different resposibilities depending on the type and size of the buisness.  It could mean what the last poster said or it could mean that they are looking for someone who can gather other drawings together and make one complete set of drawings.  They will be required to check the drawings for accuracy and completeness.  Some coordinators are expected to take on more of a Project Manager role instead of drafting, meaning you won't be drawing, but talking with the people who are drawing to make sure they are doing what is required for the project.
