Pixlr is our web-based photo editing solution. It is being developed as part of Autodesk Research in the area of visualization. When you go to the http://www.pixlr.com home page, you see:

You can chose the editor itself:

Pixlr_editor

or you can try Pixlr-O-Matic.

In addition to using both on the web, I have Pixlr-O-Matic on my iPhone and iPad. While on a recent flight to Houston, I experimented with it.

That is the Cathedral of Christ The Light in the background behind my wife.

I added the greenish glow and the pinstripe edge.

I found it easy to add overall coloring effects, special effects, and give my images interesting borders. You too should give it a try. You can even buy additional effects. For $0.99, I opted to get a set of firework effects:
