Strange dimension opportunity, here..
When I run a dimension string at whatever current dimscale is set, the measurement is correct and life is good.
If I go back to that dim & move it up or down -- not affecting the grips to provide the dimension parameters -- the dim goes into a crazy scale. Example, 40'-0" after it's moved turns into 3244'-3". Shocked 
You can imagine how pissed I am when I print a sheet for the architect to review, and I have a what is supposed to be your typical 5'-0" wide concrete sidewalk dimensioned as the length of a city block. Ouch
(AutoCAD 2013, Windows XP)
